Horseshoe Crab Conservation and Beyond
Sustainability is woven into our operations and innovations. We are recognized as an international leader in endotoxin and (1→3)-β-D-glucan detection and a champion for horseshoe crab conservation. As we have grown, we have expanded our footprint with sustainable facilities and remain committed to providing sustainable solutions to our customers.
We are committed to monitoring our sustainability metrics and improving our ESG scorecard through responsible use of natural resources and ethical practices for people and the planet.
- In 2018, ACC launched the Horseshoe Crab Sustainability Project to support fisheries of Atlantic horseshoe crabs in North America, as well as Chinese/Japanese horseshoe crabs in Asia, ensuring the horseshoe crab’s genetic diversity.
- In 2021, we introduced PyroSmart NextGen®, our animal-free recombinant technology that replicates the LAL enzyme cascade.

ACC’s Horseshoe Crab Sustainability Project
Our Horseshoe Crab Project has reared and released more than one million juvenile Atlantic horseshoe crabs into coastal waters.

In 2021, we introduced PyroSmart NextGen®, our animal-free recombinant technology that replicates the LAL enzyme cascade.

Basic Sustainability Policy
